Fourth Fiction - Round 1

Starting the 4th of August I am a guest participant in the Fourth Fiction literary reality show, where readers eliminate writers. As a guest on the show I have the luxury of knowing I can't be voted off and will be able to take part in all the challenges posted by the host, Constantine Markides. Only one of the actual contestants will survive to the end of the competition with a completed novella.

I was halfway up a mountain on the 4th of August so missed the official start but as the deadline for challenge one isn't until the 10th of this month I am back from the family holiday just in time.

The Round 1 Challenge is: Write the opening sentence of your novella.

My response:

The first naked woman I ever saw was not my mother.
